Yoga Instructor

Ali is just the tonic for a hunched-up, be-frazzled, and tense office worker.  After her sessions, I can slide into work with my head held high, my back supported and my feet firmly planted on the ground.  I am grounded and reset.  There is no need to embarrass yourself trying to pretzel into position and she always offers alternative options.

Ali uses her years of yoga teaching and experience to help people move better. She is happy to work with a complete cross-section of people and needs: from sportspeople & athletes, through to office workers & people who are recovering from injury or joint-replacement.

She feels strongly that yoga isn’t contortion or a belief system, but a fundamental investment in gaining better, pain-free mobility, enhanced performance, greater flexibility and increased strength, wherever people are in their lives or ability level. Having trained with a physiotherapist and passing further qualifications in sports yoga and corrective exercise, Ali places anatomy and natural postural alignment at the front and centre of her teaching, adapting and modifying where appropriate.

Offering regular, active stretching (‘office yoga’) classes for teams and workers, alongside providing ad hoc sessions for company and organisational away-days, she also works on a 1:1 basis with sportspeople and athletes, who need to build strength & flexibility, be more resistant to injury, and reach their performance goals, and any individual who wishes to invest in their movement long-term. With whomever she is working, a tailored programme of yoga postures, stretches and breathing is designed to complement a person’s or group’s needs, activity and/or fitness regime.

She enjoys working with people from all backgrounds in a bespoke, case-by-case way, to truly understand their individual or team requirements, applying her training and experience in a way that is accessible and fun, allowing people to reap multiple benefits in a timeframe that suits them.
